AM smoothie & smooth tea

This was a very unusual breakfast for me! As I cleaned up from packing dh's lunchbox, I grabbed the last banana, peeled it, and took a bite. Then as if a little voice told me, "You have better use for that fruit in your hand!", I threw in some vanilla soymilk, ice cubes, blueberries, and agave nectar with the rest of the banana in the blender. There you have it, folks- morning smoothie!
I also found myself munching on baby carrots, which I meant to put away after packing dh's lunch.
And what's a morning quiet time without a cup of tea. Not just any- but loose leaf tea. I refused to go back to the bagged kind now- there's just a world of difference.
For my first cup, I had Teavana's Rooibos Peach. Rooibos, or red teas, have 30 times the anti-oxidants of green tea. Rich in vitamins, minerals and protein, they also aid in digestion. (Or so they say.) Go ahead, have a cup!
Later on, I had the Roiboos Chai, which I added rice milk to, with my "tea buddy slash daughter" Aliyah. She digs this stuff, especially if it's from Teavana!

I love Rooibos Tea. Its naturally sweet, so I don't have to add any sweetener.

Oh I love smoothies and teas. I drink them without sugar. My daughter loves unsweetened teas also.

I really need to start juicing and doing smoothies more. I got a smoothie machine for Christmas and have only used it twice! Ek!

Harmonia, that machine could be your friend, you know!

I checked out the website, and now want to buy some tea. :)

How do you brew loose-leaf tea successfully? Any tea ball I've ever had always "leaks" and adds tea grounds into the cup. It drives me nuts.

Lastly, what flavors have you tried from them (Teavana)? I love chai, and love roiboos, but any other flavors you really like?

Hi, Shawn!
Aside from what I've mentioned, I have the Emerald Princess green tea. I'm not crazy about green teas, but this is good. Pina Colada and Caribbean Breeze are good too- on the sweet side.
I've mixed Jasmine Dragon Phoenix Pearl with something else that I forgot, and that's different- but way beyond my budget!
There's 2 Teavana in MN, so I get to try whatever sample teas they brew at the store. I like everything I've gotten and tasted, except the Mango Green tea-thumbs down!
I keep getting new kinds each time, to explore new flavors, but I'm trying to stay in the herbal category now, just because they're caffeine-free.

I have a tea maker that I got from Teavana also. This is better than anything I've used and I love the fact that you just set it on top of your mug to pour. I reuse the steeped loose tea a few times before throwing it out. Check it out: http://store.teavana.com/brewandtouch.html

I've gotten a few of these (and tea, of course) to give as birthday present. Everyone loves it.
HTH.
