dinner at mom's

My in-laws are neither vegan nor vegetarian, but when we come over for dinner, they always have something that's vegan-friendly. Just like last night, mom boiled some pasta for salad, which I then put together. While at it, I also made Thai Noodle Salad. And yes, they liked it!
It's such a good feeling knowing that our food choices are not only understood, but welcomed by loved ones. I feel blessed that way!

This dish was really good. I'm becoming more and more comfortable with each dish my dw makes. I like just the way her food tastes. Without all the silent killer.

Way to go, momma! Of all that you've made, I really like noodles.

Everybody chant: "NOODLES...NOODLES".

I love you, kai and keep those noodles coming.

hmm i do agree - it's fantastic when your family make the effort to help you out and then enjoy the meals themselves! I come from a meat and 3 veg family and when I became vego (a good 8 or so years ago) I think my mum thought it was just a 'fad'.

But now when we meet up or I go home for dinner, she will make sure she picks up some vego pasta, and my sister is coming around to the joys of vego sausages too.

nice : )

ps - first time visiting your site, amazing!
