Hi! First, thank you for the comments on my blog! I just posted again, actually.

next, I have TONS of questions!!!

What will you be doing with the bok choy?

What are Red Bean Buns? Buns made of Red Beans? What do they look like, what brand, where can I find them?

What are your plans for the buckwheat groats? The first and only time I have used them was for the Pilaf I did a while back...need more ideas!

I'm jealous of your spice containers! Where did you find those? I want them! I need them!!!

:)

I see the Tofurkey Jurky! I just got some in the mail today - I emailed the company and gave them kudos on their Italian Deli Slices with Sun Dried Tomatoes and Basil and told them I have a hard time finding their products and they sent me some of the Original and the Ginger Teryaki. Question about that...the original had the vegan symbol but the other flavor didn't. Is it vegan? The Ginger Teriyaki...that is?

Also, I see the Teavana Tea collection in the post below...what kind of teas are inside the bags?

Hi, I noticed you visited my blog. I popped over to answer the coop question and see that I am meeting another homeschool mom.

Yes it is united buying club that I belong to. Where I live we do not have a trader joes or whole food market, it really is the only option for me and the prices compared to the store choices I do have are excellent. I only have to work once every three months and pick up each month, so it's not to bad. Our monthly group orders total around $4000, so we get a pretty good discount off of the united catalog prices with the order size discount breakdown.

Another thing to consider is the realiability of the others who work... the group I am in with has been steady for the past 12 years (they ordered from Blooming Prairie before United buying club bought them out) and has a paid worker. The steady is important.

I'm going to enjoy your blog now, I'm glad I came over to answer your question.

Kai, can you come organize my kitchen???!! I am embarrassed by how disorganized my cupboards and fridge are... and even more so now after seeing how orderly and clean yours are! I am very serious. I would not take a picture of my cupboards and blog it!

I love it when they are very neat and tidy, but I rarely set aside time to do that. Now, I ask myself why this is so, when you have 3 kids, and also sometimes watching other children - super woman you are!

Leslie, thanks!

Harmonia, you are definitely back! lol
Red bean buns is just what they call it, but it's actually steamed white buns filled with sweetened mashed red beans inside. It's for my 3-yr old, and it's vegan, too:) I get them at the asian market.
I cooked the bok choy and the baby bokchoy in separate occasions, but I pretty much did the same thing with them: sauteed with garlic, ginger and light soy sauce. I forgot the ginger with the baby bokchoy, but the powder worked well, too.

I actually have not used buckwheat groats before. I got them for sprouting. I started some the other day and while they're not quite ready yet, I tasted some and liked it. As soon as they're fully sprouted, I'll blog about it.

I got some of my containers from Tupperware, different local stores like TJMaxx, and this awesome store called "Storables." Check if you have one locally:
http://www.storables.com

I have not seen the Ginger Teriyaki jurky. I checked Food Fight's (all vegan) website and they don't have that kind. Oh hey, I just checked Tofurkey's site and they say it's 100% vegan!

Right now, for Teavana, I have: Emerald Princess green tea, Rooibos Tropica, Rooibos Chai and Caribbean Breeze. Oh wait, that doesn't answer your question, does it? (lol) The bagged teas are some herbal teas I got from the Israel Marketplace event at church and the blue ones are Tetley Orange Peach and also Chai that I ordered online in boxes. I put them in the mugs I gave away last Christmas with chocolate spoons, cinnamon sticks, etc and these were leftovers. Hubby uses them at work, but I couldn't drink bagged teas at home anymore-so they've been sitting there:)

Okay, these are probably more than you asked for!

Dori, thanks for coming over.
Sounds like the group I'm joining is pretty good, 8 years and all, and her members are all over the cities, (they've probably moved since joining) but I just got the info from United's list and that one phone call, so we'll see...
I have yet to read more of your blog, so I probably should do that before asking how old your kids are and how long you've been h/s-ing

**Dreena, you know what's funny is when people come over, especially when it's unexpected, this is not what they see. Instead, they see all kinds of things on the floor, clothes hanging waiting to be folded, a crowded countertop- in one word: mess!
I should have put a disclaimer before posting these, lol!

But yeah, I'd come over gladly and organize (so you could concentrate more on the book) if you make that special brownies!

I'm with Dreena. Come do mine too please? I do organize it, but then after a couple of weeks, it's looking like a shambles again. It also doesn't help that I don't have enough cupboard space. Does anyone ever have enough? Yours look GREAT!
