Let's Move On!

Today is a new day. I'm moving on... to a new blog. Welcome all to my new tent! Here's some pix just to cozy up the place:
Aliyah's plate of Grilled Cheez Sandwich from Raising Vegetarian Children and "Ribbon Salad." We had a mixed verdict on TJ's Pomegranate Vinegar dressing.
Lunch on my new Vitamix: frozen pineapple tidbits, an orange, half an apple and a large carrot. This is filling! I still have to try this with greens...
BBQ seitan. This one is not homemade, but I'm proud to say that I did my first seitan-making stunt yesterday and it turned out pretty, pretty good. I couldn't get myself to take photos yesterday because of that blogging problem, but I could say that it was better than store-bought and I'd definitely make it again. Recipe was from VwaV.
An offspring of the Korean Stew. This is my new favorite dinner. Garlic, ginger, tofu, water and white miso boiled with whatever veggies you have on hand.

I have no idea Carrie. Didn't even know this could happen. It would help if I could get Blogger to respond.

i thought something was wrong yesterday when i visited your blog (which didn't really look like your blog). i'm so sorry this happened. the same thing happened to the owner of flatman.blogspot.com recently (another blog i follow). he was able to get his content and name back from blogger, but i think you're better off now. i'm just so sorry that i can't go through your old recipes anymore :-(

but you're right... it's a new day and i look forward to your future posts ! welcome back and good luck !

Argh - just tried to leave a comment, but it's not showing (once again). I wish you well and will change our link to your site so we don't have to keep seeing the Russian literature.

wow, kai, i'm sorry that happened to you. not fair ~ blogging is a labor of love & to have it stolen sucks. i hope blogger can recover your content ~ please let us know the result. that's so frustrating ~ one of my husband's sites was hijacked recently by islamic extremists. well, i'm glad you're back & i admire your positive attitude concerning the jerks.

Kai! I know I speak for MANY when I say (write) that I am so glad to see your blog again.

HELLO, KAI!!!

I can't imagine what in the world happened that yours was stolen. Unbelievable... BUT the good thing is that your blog will now be even better than the other one.

Good to see you, Kai!

I am so sorry about your site. I was wondering what happened yesterday when I went to check it out. I thought maybe you were starting a second site and had a different format for it and were using a new url for the old one. I am glad to see that you are back up and running, minus all of your wonderful previous blogs. Best of luck getting this one going. At least you have a great group of supporters surrounding you and we will all visit often and keep the comments going.

Sorry to hear of your blog difficulties! I just bought VwaV (along with 2 Dreena and 2 indian cookbooks) using a kickback gift certificate from my credit card. I can't wait!

Thanks for the well wishes on my ed pursuit. I had to "redeem" my post from yesterday as coming across "to busy", per Matt 6:33 I consider myself added to.

My hope was that the temporary problems blogger experienced yesterday was going to fix your blog. You had so many great previous entries archived.

Kai, as with everyone else, I'm glad to see you with a new site and such a +'ve attitude - you're phenomenal!

I don't understand this hijacking stuff... I'm not a technical person, so I don't understand how it happens. Did you get to recover your content from Blogger?

Look forward to seeing more of your new home! :)

Liz- I'm still hoping to hear from Blogger, but the archives are here now. Thanks to a wonderful dh of mine.

Crystal- thanks. Also, I just added your blog to my list.

Vicki- you're right about it being a labor of love. Thank you so much for the encouraging words.

K- I hope you don't mind me calling you K instead of Kleopatra. I just think that friends could do that, right? You always have a kind word for me and EVERYONE else.

Dreena- This kind of stuff happens even to big companies, so I'm not surprised at all, it's just that you never think it could happen to you... and that's exactly what happened- to me!

I'm still waiting to hear from blogger, and hoping they're not ignoring my emailSs. Anyhow, dh was able to restore the archives and they are now in this site.

On that note, I'd like to thank my ever loving and supportive dh, Ron, for all his work on this site and the blogs. He's been working on my behalf, even without me knowing. Babe, you are awesome!

Catherine (Food Snob)- you're not here, but I want to thank you also for the email and the mention in your new post.

To everyone else, PrimaryConsumer, Michelle, Melody, Leslie, VeganDoc, Cindy, Teddy, Lera, Dori & Johanna- thank you, thank you. Your comments and visits here mean a lot to me.

I am overwhelmed by your goodness and support- what a bunch of women we have here! You are a real inspiration to me.

I'm glad you liked the dahl! I use that recipe in my cooking classes and people like it a lot. It is one of our favs in this house too and it freezes really well, so I usually have some in the freezer to pull out for a quick dinner.

Oh my gosh, I go out of town and look what happens! Okay, so I know it's not about me, but I really am shocked that this has happened to your blog. But I'm happy to read that your dh has restored your archives. Whew!

Sorry you've been through so much, but glad you've gotten it up and running again.
